e-Government

The Snelling Center for Government brings to e-Vermont its expertise in fostering responsible and ethical civic leadership, encouraging public service by private citizens, and promoting informed citizen participation in shaping public policy.

One critical question is what presence municipalities have online? Citizens look online for information in all areas of their life, including civic participation and local government. Town governments are providing more and more information online, and often going even further by encouraging citizen input, conversations, and engagement through online platforms.

The Snelling Center for Government helps e-Vermont towns navigate best practices for an online presence. While the Snelling Center works one-on-one with these municipalities, they also make information, including templates and guidance documents, available online at http://evermontbroadband.org/test_site
